TOP 10
Here is a list of my 10 favourite Christmas Adverts from 2015!
01
Sainsbury's- Making the most out of nothing
Sainsbury's topped John Lewis in my eyes this year. This festive favourite
displayed an unconventional Christmas which 'oozed' sentimentality
and festivities. This Advert was easily my favourite festive advert of 2015. For more of my opinion on this ad please visit my latest review.
02
Aldi - A dogs Christmas
Aldi again this year astonished us with this heart-warming advert featuring a little boys whose dog best friend ran away shortly before Christmas, they were then were united on Christmas day. This advert was absolutely beautiful featuring 'You've got a friend in me' modernised by the voice of Jack Barrack.
03
M & S- A Perfect Christmas
M&S produced a Christmas ad this year that was completely glamourous. The luxurious ad displayed all of their clothing products on glamourized middle aged women. This subverted beauty stereotypes within the media and showed women in all different shapes and sizes. In my opinion it was truly beautiful.
04
House of Fraser- Florence's Letter
Based on a true life story this advert provided an insight into historical figures life; Florence nightingale. The advert is truly astonishing and has given the younger generation an insight into Nightingale extraordinary and complicated life.
05
Boots- Emma's gift
Emma is a girl who lacks self-confidence and then is given the gift of No.7 makeup for Christmas which makes her feel great. The advert echoes the campaign for self-confidence charity 'SCHEME'. It is truly memorable advert.
06
Debenhams- Iced Love
Polar Bears find love in Debenhams 2015 advert; this advert fits into the stereotypical values of Christmas adverts however it is still one of the most loved adverts of 2015.
07
Feel Unique- The Man in Red and White
The ad features the song 'Santa Baby' voiced by Ellie Goulding and this is where the adverts popularity is gained.
08
River Island- A Christmas romance
We all love a good love story at Christmas and this year is so exception. This advert has been undoubtedly populat, Congrats River Island.
09
DFS- Man on the sleigh
DFS had us in stitches this year with the old man flying on a red sofa. Although it was perhaps cheesy and hegemonic the ad joint my top 10 due to its hilarious themes. Perhaps you'll see Natasha Ray delivering presents on a flying red sofa this year! (you probably won't)
10
McDonalds- Breaded Christmas
This comedic advert reaches no.10 due to its funny take on an original classic 'White Christmas'. This advert has persuaded me alongside many others that all we want for Christmas is a big maaaac!
